Only one digital representation came close, and that was because she was reunited with her mommy in UW.

Some people are just narrow-minded for new things. Ultimately everything is happening inside your brains no matter what the source(s) are.

Perhaps at the end of G.O.L.E.M, it brought a tear to my eye. Poor Vekk. Q.Q

(I can't remember any IRL person in-game making me cry, but I felt sad when nice people in the guilds I've been in suddenly disappeared and never came back).

@OP

Unfortunately I have heard of and seen, what use to be friendly and helpful players, turn ahole over PvP or even elite area speed clears. But, I'm guessing it has more to do with personal issues than the game. Games dont hurt people, people do.

LOL, just noticed, way to go on reviving a year old thread.

Seconded. If you're crying over Guild Wars you should turn your computer off and go outside.

I have caught a good amount of crap playing mesmer in pvp. People telling me they are going to kill my mom and rape my dog along with other stuff. Its good for a laugh and thats about it. The army gave me a thick skin i guess, it would take some real talent to get me worked up over a game.

I believe we all shared an understanding, and also shared many fond moments of joy together….sigh…

So....we decided to start PvP'ing as a guild 3 months ago....it came to a point where one of our guildie that we have known for 2 years…..started blaming my friend for making the team lose....I dont know why....but PvP has literally made him into a monster.....he started yelling on vent....and screaming that she is bad …this made her cry on ventrillo and she left the guild….

It feels like something is missing in our guild now….my question is if this is normal in the PvP world…where pvp has made one of your nicest guildie turn to PvP monster?
This kind of behavior upsets me too. He probably also plays a lot of multiplayer FPS games..."You stole my interupt!!!"

My Story:

I have been playing since 05 and have been in quite a few guilds, the ones I joined in my early days were nice, i had some rude ones and left them quickly. On the way I have made many friends who I still play with and are not part of my guild, I have always maintained that I have loyalty to players not guilds.

Later down the road I stumbled upon a guild I fell totally in love with, all friendly, active, accepting, and intolerant of intolerance(O.o). About a month or two pass while I am still getting to know everyone and how they play then something terrible happened. I logged on one day to find that all the people I loved to play with left the guild and I had no idea where they were for I think a day or so, the thought of having to find a new guild again upset me i don't remember if I cried but I am sure I felt like it.

The next day I got a whisper from one of my favorite players telling me what happened, they all migrated to a new guild and they invited me (^.^). We all stayed there for a little while getting to know some of the people, but one day I logged on to find my friends gone again...luckily by this time we were all on each others friend list. So I got another whisper from one of my friends and he informed me that he and the others that I usually play with have decided to make our own guild(you know who you are if you read this).

Instead of being under a leader we would have a leader only because we had to, everyone is an officer and it is all democratic. I joined and have been happy ever since. Not once has anyone been chastised for their playing oranything else and i feel very fortunate to know this group of people. If anyone of you are reading this thanks for keeping me around you guys are the biggest reason I keep playing. I hope we are all still together for GW2. <3

(thanks for reading through if it kept your attention long enough)

Too bad more guilds aren't like this. Most, if not all guilds, have a way of "quantity over quality", "you're on the internet so you don't matter", "oh look I found a new friend, time to ignore you" attitude. I don't think any guild is what they say they are anymore.

Oh, as for topic...

Absolutely not, why in the hell would a game make someone cry? If it's because of betrayal of friends, I might understand.

Whoever does cry over a game, however, needs to seriously consider getting out of the house a little more. Fresh air never hurt anyone.

Sorry but that made me laugh. You don't get tough just by being in the army. It's the same thing as saying that people who has been in war gets bloodthirsty because they're experienced killing. The only thing that makes a person tough is his own willpower.

The crap talk is why I dropped PvP completely. And man, laughing about it is really the only right option, seeing as the craptalkers are mostly the part of the gamers who are sad, making it simply laughable. Although if people get worked up in game to the point where they start crying I must admit, I stop laughing. I've met fascist shitheads, tyrans, ignorant bullshitters and so on and tbh, I can see why one would get upset at those.

This thread makes me cry on the inside.
People get mad all the time. I was playing FPS one time and this guy told me to take a skill for my class. He sounded angry, but I didn't get upset... I just did what he said, and he was happy for it and I made a friend because I did what I was told instead of being a snotty emo brat. When I was an FPS noob I would go play CSS doing stupid things and this one guy got really angry and told me to do something a certain way, so I did it and he stopped getting mad because I learned to do better and once again I made a good friend because he knew he could trust me to listen and do the right thing.
A lot of people in GW seem to take criticism very poorly. If you don't want to get better and don't like having your "authority" questioned by someone better than you simply because you are an officer or a guild leader, then maybe you shouldn't PvP. Maybe you shouldn't game at all. For some people the social aspect of gaming takes the front over the actual game itself. If that's the case then maybe you should get a chatroom or hang out with your PvE character in RA with all the other dopeheads.

Personally I don't get upset at people that refuse to listen or learn things. I just quit the guild and add them to my block list for a few weeks. Problem solved.
If you've been playing this game for a while and still haven't picked up the basics then honestly you probably deserved to get yelled at. When someone yells at me I don't go off in a corner and cut myself or cry about it. I just do better and in the end I make more friends because of it.

I agree with some of this but no one deserves to be yelled at (except Hitler...), and it must feel especially worse if the person yelling at you is someone you saw as a good friend.

We don't have a problem with thread necromancy when it leads to continuing useful discussion.

...which is borderline thus far.

Well there was a HA team I played against in Dark Chambers quite long ago when there was still that bug near the bridge where arrows and stuff couldn't hit you. But it was crying because of too much laugh, 5 hours match and enemy ranger spike whining and later leaving = too funny u just have to cry
